UTTC Women's Basketball Set for Gogebic In Region XIII Championship
Winner will advance and host an NJCAA National Qualifier game.
The stage is set for the NJCAA Region XIII Championship game, United Tribes Technical College (12-16, 9-12 Mondak) vs. Gogebic Community College (8-14). Tip-off is scheduled 1:00pm CST, Sunday.

United Tribes Thunderbirds (12-16, 9-12 Mondak) enters the Region XIII Championship game with one of the program's winningest seasons, since the 2018-19 campaign. The highly efficient sophomore duo, Myona Dauphinais and Tyleigh Brady, proved to be two of the best scorers in the conference, finishing in the top 4. Dauphinais leads the Mon-Dak with 19.1 ppg, while Brady is fourth on the chart with 16.3 ppg.
In addition to scoring, Dauphinais also sits second in the league for 3-pt percentage at 37.5. Freshman, Alionna Lawrence, proves to, not only be a threat down-low, but also have the versatility to knock down the long-shot, sitting fifth in the Mon-Dak at 36.5 percent from 3-pt. Combined, the Fort Totten natives, shot 7-of-12 from deep, in the semi-final win over Dakota College - Bottineau on February 28.
As a team, the Thunderbirds lead the league in free-throw efficiency with 77.9 percent from the charity stripe (286-367).
