United Tribes Houston Davis Named Conference Player of the Week for Third Time This Season
Sophomore forward is leading conference play in scoring with 25.3 per game
United Tribes Technical College is proud to announce that sophomore forward Houston Davis has been named the Mon-Dak Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week for the third time this season.
Davis, a 6'5" forward, put up stellar numbers this week, averaging 37 points, 7 rebounds, and 3 assists. He shot an impressive 60% from the field and an even more remarkable 90% from the free-throw line, including a perfect 14-14 performance against Williston State.
In that game against Williston State, Davis achieved a career-high 43 points, with 31 coming in the second half of a narrow three-point loss. He also contributed 29 points, 8 rebounds, and 6 assists in a crucial win against Dakota College at Bottineau, helping secure his team's spot as the number 1 seed in the Region Tournament.
Davis currently leads the conference in scoring, averaging 25.3 points in conference games, along with 7 rebounds and 3.5 assists. He's shooting 54% from the field and 84% from the free-throw line in conference play.
A proud member of the Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa, Davis is from Belcourt, North Dakota, and is a graduate of Turtle Mountain Community High School.
