United Tribes Houston Davis Named Mon-Dak Men's Basketball Player of the Week
Sophomore forward had big weekend in three game homestand
United Tribes Technical College is excited to announce that sophomore forward Houston Davis has been named the Mon-Dak Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week. Davis, standing at 6'5", has been a standout player for the Thunderbirds this season, and his performance over the weekend solidified his spot as one of the conference's top players.
Despite battling foul trouble throughout the weekend, Davis led the Thunderbirds to a 2-1 record. In a thrilling comeback victory over St. Cloud Tech, he put on an impressive display, scoring 26 points and grabbing 12 rebounds to help secure the win.
On the season, Davis is averaging 20 points and 7 rebounds per game while shooting an impressive 55% from the field.
A proud member of the Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa, Davis hails from Belcourt, North Dakota, and is a graduate of Turtle Mountain Community High School.
