United Tribes Soars Past Dakota College Bottineau for Fourth Consecutive Win
Thunderbirds win on the road 95-79
United Tribes secured their fourth consecutive victory with a 95-79 win at Dakota College Bottineau on Wednesday evening. The Thunderbirds played a complete game from start to finish on both ends of the court.
The game kicked off with United Tribes building an early lead, as they took a 42-33 cushion at the half. However, it was their explosive start to the second half that truly set the tone for the remainder of the game. A relentless 16-3 run, capped of by a deep three-pointer from Jacolby Pearson and two free throws by Houston Davis, extended their lead to 56-36 just over two minutes into the second half.
Fueled by a remarkable shooting display, United Tribes maintained their offensive onslaught, particularly from beyond the arc. Shooting an impressive 12-20 from three-point range in the second half. Teal Soaring Eagle erupeted for a huge second half for United Tribes, connecting on four three-pointers en route to tallying 14 second-half points.
Leading the charge once again was the formidable duo of Houston Davis and Cayden Redfield. Davis, delivering yet another standout performance, racked up an impressive 27 points while also snatching 10 rebounds. Meanwhile, Redfield made his presence felt with a stellar double-double, securing 18 points while hauling down 10 rebounds.
Riley Spoonhunter also made valuable contributions to United Tribes' victory, chipping in with 11 points and dishing out 4 assists.
United Tribes closes out the regular season at home Sunday afternoon against league leading North Dakota State College of Science at 3pm.
