United Tribes jumped out to a 59-38 lead in the first half and went on to defeat the Mustangs of Sisseton Wahpeton College 117-89 Friday night in the John Thunder Hawk Classic.
Cayden Redfield scored 27 points while shooting 12-18 from the field and had a game high 9 rebounds to go along with 4 assists. Houston Davis was 11-12 from the field and finished with 24 points and 8 rebounds. Trae Hugs dished out a game high 7 assists while scoring 13 points.
The Thunderbirds are 6-5 heading into the break and will travel to Glendive, MT on January 5th to play Gillette College.
