Thunderbirds beat Northwest College for Weekend Split

The United Tribes Technical College Thunderbirds traveled to Miles City, MT for the Foundation Classic over the weekend to take on two Region IX foes. 

After falling to Gillette College in the opening game the Thunderbirds squared off with the Northwest College Trappers from Powell, WY.  Both teams struggled to score in the first half and went to the locker room with UTTC leading 26-24.  The Thunderbirds were able to get in a rhythm offensively in the second half outscoring the Trappers 46-30 to cruise to a 72-54 win. 

Hudda Curry nearly had a double double scoring 19 points and grabbing 9 rebounds.  Houston Davis continued his stellar play and finished with 14 points and 6 rebounds.  Cayden Redfield had 13 points, 8 rebounds, and 4 steals.  Jacolby Pearson provided a spark off the bench with 10 points.  

United Tribes is now 3-2 on the year and returns to action this Friday at 6:30 pm with a home game against Turtle Mountain Community College followed by another home game on November 19th at 1:30 pm against Northwest Indian College.
