Thunderbirds Split Weekend Series

United Tribes continued to stay hot Saturday afternoon at the Thunderdome against Dakota College Bottineau.  The Jacks got off to a blazing start and jumped out to a 30-17 lead against the Thunderbirds.  Tribes chipped away at the lead and trailed 53-47 at halftime.  In the second half the Thunderbirds erupted for 66 points and held on to win 113-107.

Famous Lefthand was 14-17 from the field and led the way with 35 points and a game high 9 rebounds.  DK Middleton filled the stat sheet with 23 points, 9 rebounds, and 8 assists.  Luke Wells Jr. finished with 14 points and 6 assists.  Tahj Two Bulls also reached double figures with 13. 

The next day the Thunderbirds traveled to Williston to face the Tetons.  Williston State jumped out to a big lead early and led at halftime 55-31 cruising to an easy win.  The Thunderbirds struggled offensively shooting just 31% from the field, 25% from the three point line, and got beat on the boards 51-31.  United Tribes came into the game averaging 25 assists, but managed only 12.

Lefthand led the way again with 19 points and 6 rebounds.  Middleton contributed 13 points and 5 steals.  Jayce Archambault knocked down four three pointers finishing with 12 points.  

United Tribes travels to Lake Region State College on Saturday November 20th and return home on Sunday the 21st hosting North Dakota State College of Science at 4pm.
