United Tribes runs past Lake Region 94-77
United Tribes raced out of the gates to an eary 47-19 lead and were able to hold on cruising to a 94-77 win against the visiting Royals of Lake Region State College. The Royals were able to cut into the lead and went into the locker room trailing 56-43, but Tribes used another run early in the second half to essentially put the game out of reach.
Cecelio Montgomery sparked the first half run by torching the nets for 7 first half three pointers. He finished the game with 23 points and 5 assists. Nick Jiles continued his stellar play at the point guard position and finished two assists shy of another triple double. He had 19 points, 12 rebounds, and 8 assists. Tyree Florence-Patton played with energy and had some fantastic finishes at the rim on his way to 18 points and 9 rebounds. Lane Johnson reached double figures again with 14 points and despite battling illness Tate Bear aslo reached double figures with 14 points to round out the Thunderbirds balanced attack.
Tribes next hits the road for a Monday game North Dakota State College of Science in Wahpeton, ND at 7:30 pm.
