United Tribes Famous Lefthand Named Mon-Dak Athletic Conference MVP
Dynamic guard averaged 24 points and 4 rebounds per game while shooting 49% from the field, 29% from three, and 90% from the free throw line
United Tribes Technical College's Famous Lefthand was named the Mon-Dak Athletic Conferences Most Valuable Player on Monday.
The 6'3" prolific scorer and highly efficient shooting guard led the conference in scoring and sits fourth in the nation with 23.6 points per game. He shot 49% from the field, connected on 39% of his threes, and sits second in the nation at 90% from the free throw line. He also grabbed 4.4 rebounds per game.
Lefthand has been named to the Mon-Dak Athletic Conference and All-Region first teams two years in row now and was NJCAA All-American a year ago.
While leading his team to the Region XIII championship game this past weekend Lefthand scored 28.5 points per game while shooting 59% from the field, 50% from three, and made all of this free throw attempts. He also had 10 rebounds, 5 assists, and 5 steals in the two games.
Lefthand has led his team to two consecutive Region XIII Championship games and the team finished 21-10 this year losing the final game in overtime.
Famous is from Crow Agency, MT and attended Hardin High School. He is a member of the Crow Tribe.
